Yogurt & Oats Bread

Hi Everyone,

So, here’s my first post for people to try, my very simple yogurt and oatty bread. This bread is very simple to make with cheap ingredients and a quick set up with no added fuss.

You Will Need

1 medium sized egg

1 tub of natural yogurt (500ml)

.5 tsp of salt

2 tsp of baking soda

1 cup of your favorite seed of choice

2 tsp of honey (optional)

1 tsp of milk

*Here’s a look at the products I used with the exclusion of milk, please note I had Baking Powder in the picture which should have been baking soda.

Anyway, back to the cooking…

What Next?

Have your oven pre-heated to 180 degree c

Empty the yogurt into a mixing bowl

Add in your egg and tsp of milk

Fill up the empty yogurt tub x2 with oats

Add in the x2 tsp of baking soda

Add in your nuts and seeds of choice (optional) Keep some aside to add onto the top

Grease your baking tin and line with parchment paper

Pour the mixture into the tin and cut a line down the center

Sprinkle the leftover seeds on top

Cooking

Place in the oven and cook for 45-55 minutes depending on your oven

10 minutes before the bread is ready take it out of the oven, turn upside down and place back into tin to cook for remaining 10 minutes

When 10 minutes are up place the bread on a wire tray to cool

Serving Suggestions

Once cooled slice up the cake and serve with butter and jam and ENJOY!
